Lacoste bold stripe short sleeve polo

Rene Lacoste was a french national hero in the 1930's. He was part of the "Three Musketeers" French Davis Cup tennis team that wrested the cup from the Americans. He was known as "Le Crocodile" after he accepted a bet from one of his teammates that if he won the crucial game in the rubber he would give him a crocodile leather bag. He won! And to celebrate, he sewed a crocodile badge on his tennis shirt and the rest, as they say, is history!
